The Shoes of Peace. Shoes of the Gospel of Peace Ephesians 6:15-15. In other words, we are to be prepared with the Good News of peace. The Gospel is full of references to peace. We have to get better at preaching the gospel of peace to ourselves over and over. The first is this Gospel of peace, and the second is the readiness that comes from this gospel that Paul is referring to. The word “gospel” means “good news,” referring to the sacrifice Jesus made for us so that we can be saved. We saw that to defeat our enemy, we have to understand who he is and put on the armor of God. Before we can unpack exactly what “the preparation of the gospel of peace” means, let’s take a closer look at the shoes themselves. It requires us being willing to wear it every day. As Christians, we are called to share the good news of Christ with others. So Paul is saying, “Understand that the Gospel is a gospel of peace.” But I like the fact that he says the “readiness” or the establishment of the gospel of peace.
